The increasing cost of a college education makes it more necessary than ever to make the choice that is right for your child. Our certified professional counselors can help you determine the size, location, and programs offered at various institutions that will offer the greatest level of success for your child.

College Search

Perhaps the most difficult decision for families is the college search. Our Professional Counselor will help you choose schools that are a solid fit for your child. Research will be done based on GPA, location preferences, programs offered, student interests, and more.

The parent(s) and child will fill out a form that will give us a better idea of the child's needs, abilities, and desires regarding a college campus. Included will be SAT/ACT scores, GPA, Extra Curricular Activities, Resume / Activity Sheet and more. Additionally, the student will be asked what type of college appeals to the individual with regards to size, distance from home and additional criteria.

Our Professional Counselor will then utilize this form along with a personal discussion with the family to generate a list of schools that fit the needs and personality of the student.

Application Process

Filling out applications can be a daunting task. Allow our expert Professional Counselor Staff to assist you in this process. We will make sure all pertinent information is filled out correctly.

Students will be asked to fill out the various College Applications and our Professional Guidance Counselor will go over the material to make sure all sections are filled out correctly. Suggestions will be made to enhance the look of the application and represent the student in the best possible light. We will help you make sure your child "stands out" from other applicants wherever possible.

Essay Development

The professionals of Grade Success will help your child brainstorm ideas and topics for this all important essay. It is important to keep in mind that most schools require more than one essay so this is an ongoing process that will include many revisions. We ask that the student write the essay and then we assist with editing grammar, syntax, meaning, and organization.

The essay is an important way for the college admissions office to understand who your child is as well as his or her ability to write a meaningful essay.

Scholarships

There are a variety of scholarships offered from colleges and even large companies. Often times scholarships are offered by the parent's employer as well. Our experts will help you fill out scholarship forms as well as assist you in searching for possible scholarships for your child.
